Our History

The origins of today's CLB Coopers can be traced back to Nottingham in 1854, and we can celebrate a varied and interesting past.

Accountancy was never our only forte. Early marketing of the firm advertised us as "Chartered Accountants, House, Estate and Insurance Agents". So whilst some of our services have changed, the breadth of services that CLB Coopers offer hasn't. Along with Accountancy, Audit and Taxation services, we now deliver a wider range of services including Corporate Recovery and Corporate Finance.

A major part of the firms strategy has been to maintain a size and capability so we are able to service our range of clients, from individual personal tax clients and sole traders, through to listed companies and subsidiaries of international groups.

Whilst the firm has undergone significant changes over the last century and a half, the core values have remained the same. Our founders would recognise the quality of service and desire to help our clients that was so prominent historically. Our entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to development and ability to deliver relevant solutions for each client are as strong now as they have always been.

The future of CLB Coopers is set to be exciting and even more successful. We know that the firm will change and we know that we will adapt so that we can continue to deliver the high quality service that our clients have come to expect.
