Meet Some Of The Team

Marc, Audit Trainee – Manchester Office

"CLB Coopers boast an open and supportive culture where trainees get access to all partners and managers. Their support network also extends to exam time where they are appreciative of your need to study and will endeavour to relax your work load running up to those key dates. This is one of the reasons CLB Coopers has a 100% pass rate over recent years in all ACA examinations."

"Real opportunities are presented early into your training programme and you are encouraged to take responsibility and broaden your skills from the moment you are part of the 'CLBC team'."

Nicola, Marketing Coordinator – based in Manchester

Nicola"I started my career with CLBC as a PA to the tax team in 2004. I am now working in the marketing department. My day-to-day work is so different to how it started,  I feel my career has been given a new lease of life!"

"I have since completed the Professional Certificate in Marketing with CIM, and have begun the Marketing Diploma. With a personal development plan in place, its great to know that CLBC have invested in me, as a person, and really do want the best for their staff."

Rachael, Accounts Trainee – Bolton Office

Rachel

"I joined CLB Coopers in November 2005 when I was 17 and since then I have sat and passed all 8 of the AAT exams which makes me AAT Qualified. I am currently studying towards the ACCA qualification and have my first two exams to look forward to in December. The study support here is second-to-none. I get day release to go to college and also get study leave around the time of my exams and extra support is always available from the managers and other staff who have sat the same exams, and are all more than willing to help in their own free time.

I have recently changed departments within CLB Coopers, I used to work in the Business Service Department but I now work in Audit and Accounts. During my time in the Business Service Department, I had my own portfolio of clients and my day-to-day tasks included bookkeeping, VAT Returns and some accounts work, since the move I now do a lot more accounts work and also some audit work which helps with my exams. I'm really enjoying my time here at CLB Coopers, some staff have been here their entire working life which goes to show that it's a good firm to be with and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Aimee, Accounts Trainee - Lancaster Office

Aimee "I joined CLB Coopers in 2003, and in 2005 became AAT qualified. With the backing of CLBC I chose to continue with my studies and became ACA qualified in 2007. I have worked in the Business Services Department where I learnt all the accounting knowledge & basic ground work that has led me to develop my skills into an auditor. Working on clients in vastly different industries such as breweries to mobile phone services to charities, my job is incredibly varied which makes it ever the more enjoyable. I hope that my CLBC career will continue to develop with the help of fellow colleagues, managers & partners"

Simon Monks, Business Recovery Administrator - Manchester Office

Simon

I joined CLB Coopers in July 2005 as a graduate trainee working in Business Recovery and Insolvency. Although my accounting degree did not touch on this area, the work sounded interesting.

Straight away I started studying for the ACCA professional qualification, which proved that my seniors were willing to invest in my career and ensure that my future was looked after.

Whilst studying it was comforting to realise that CLB Coopers were more than willing to provide all the resources necessary to ensure I had every chance of passing. This, coupled with hard studying, paid off and within two years of starting, I had passed the exam requirements to become ACCA qualified. CLB Coopers recognised my achievements accordingly.

CLB Coopers thrives on its open culture and has great ambitions for the future. Recent growth has been a major achievement and the firm’s brand is well established throughout the North West. I am impressed that the firm knows its goals and understands its place in the market. The future looks promising and I am happy to be a part of it.
