Acquisition deal for John Turner & Sons

JohnTurnerandSons John Turner & Sons, a North West based construction group, has acquired Wright Build Ltd for an undisclosed sum. Wright Build is based in Atherton and with an annual turnover of £3.5million, specialise mainly in the repair and maintenance sectors of the construction market

John Turner & Sons is privately owned and was established in 1907 with headquarters at Grimsargh near Preston and a regional office in Manchester. The business has a turnover of £50million operating mainly within the public sector and has 240 employees engaged across the business. The acquisition was led by Steven Lindsay, Corporate Finance partner at CLB Coopers Manchester, Berg Legal provided legal advice to John Turner and Turner Parkinson (legal) and Cowgill Holloway (financial) advised Wright Build.

The two companies have a lot in common in that they are both active with key public sector clients. John Turners are strong in education and health while Wright Build’s core strength and success is in planned and reactive maintenance.
