iMend.com, a leading nationwide consumer and corporate phone repair brand, was purchased by EcoRenew in the latest stage of its growth strategy. The acquisition comes just a few weeks after the purchase of Lancashire-based data protection specialist, ICT Reverse and mobile phone recycling giant, Mazuma Mobile.
iMend’s unique service consists of a nationwide network of on-demand repair technicians which provides the added opportunity for on-site repairs to consumer and corporate customers of ICT Reverse and Mazuma, adding yet another revenue stream and service to the EcoRenew portfolio.
Mark Chambers, CEO of EcoRenew Group, said, “The acquisition of iMend is a key building block in the expansion of our service offering. We are delighted to be able to attract a business with the track record and reputation of iMend, and we see a good strategic fit”.
Keir McConomy of iMend, commented, “We are really pleased to be part of the EcoRenew Group; it is a perfect strategic fit. iMend already has a strong brand and reputation, both in the consumer and corporate repairs markets, but this acquisition will mean we have the resources to supercharge iMend’s growth and fully realise the brand’s global ambitions. We are really looking forward to working with Mark and the team to achieve this potential”.
EcoRenew Group was supported throughout the acquisition by the Corporate Finance and Tax teams at CLB Coopers, which is part of the Baldwins Group. Rob Richardson, assisted by James Merryweather, led on the transaction and was supported by Jenny Pape from the Tax team and Tony Whiteway of the senior team at the Lancaster office.
